Who is Black Tara?
The term “Black Tara : Krodha Kali” (also spelled Krodha-kali or known in Tibetan as Troma Nagmo) refers to the goddess Tara / Vajrayogini / Kali in Buddhism. She is a potent protector and transformer of inner and outer obstacles, obscurations, and negativities
What “Empowerment” Means & Its Benefits
An empowerment of Black Tara / Krodha Kali — in tantric Buddhist practice — is a transmission Khenpo Migmar that authorizes and blesses a practitioner to engage in the associated sadhana, mantra, visualization, and ritual practices. But more than “permission,” it can be considered as a spiritual activation.

Benefits Commonly Attributed to Practicing After Empowerment
Once empowered, the sadhana practice of Black Tara / Krodha Kali is believed to yield various benefits on multiple levels (external, internal, and secret). Some of these include:
-
Removal of obstacles / hindrances: The practice is particularly strong for dispelling internal obstacles (fear, ignorance, emotional affliction) as well as external threats or interference (spiritual antagonism, malevolent forces)
-
Cutting attachment to the self / ego: One of her main roles is to sever the psychic clinging to “I / me / mine,” which is one of the deepest root causes of suffering.
-
Purification of karmic obscurations / negative imprints: By working with her energy, the practitioner can cleanse habitual patterns, negative karmas, and latent obscurations
-
Acceleration of wisdom realization: Because her method is fierce and direct, it is considered powerful for rapidly accelerating insight into emptiness, nondual awareness, and the true nature of mind
After you register, you will receive a detailed email on what to bring, etc.
