Join Betty and Kevan for a transformative yoga retreat in the enchanting land of Guatemala, where ancient traditions blend with breathtaking natural beauty. This retreat is designed to provide you with a rejuvenating escape from the stresses of daily life, allowing you to deepen your yoga practice and reconnect with your inner self.
In addition to yoga, our retreat offers a variety of activities to enhance your experience and provide a holistic approach to well-being. We will start our retreat outside of the city of Antigua Founded in 1543, La Antigua Guatemala was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1979. This beautiful and magical colonial city has almost five hundred years of history, with a privileged climate and an exceptional view of the Fire and Acatenango volcanoes. We will spend 3 nights in a private villa named Casa Kuxtal.
We then travel to stunning Lake Atitlan to experience the spirit of Guatemala with Cocoa Ceremony, hiking, cooking classes and boat rides to magical villages.
The beautiful lake Atitlan is a dramatic beauty formed as a result of a volcanic eruption. According to geological history, the area was once an immense volcanic mountain that blew its top off some 85,000 years ago in a massive explosion. The discoveries have revealed that its ashes and rocks have been found as far south as Panama and has produced world wide climactic effects. Today's the lake is an actually the crater of a massive volcano.
