Fluid Mind – Is it possible to become happier and more content by letting go of fear, craving and attachment?

Fluid Mind infuses a Tibetan Buddhist approach to mind training with a goal of helping us become more present, adaptable to change and ultimately discover a happier and more content way of living. In this module, we will learn the science behind mind training, the four foundations of practice, and meditations including: shamata, loving kindness and tong-len meditations. Additionally, we will explore the benefits of yoga nidra and deep relaxation exercises.

This module uses experiential learning and real world examples while drawing on the ancient Tibetan yogic philosophies such as the Six Paramitas as outlined The Bodhisattva’s Way of Living.

The gunas (qualities) of the fire element like heat, illumination, and vitality can help us unload the burden of winter and transition to the brilliance of late spring and summer. Through heat inducing poses like core work and arm balances, Amy Leydon will lead you through a challenging and liberating sequence.

We will end with a restorative focus to help calm and balance the nervous system leaving you feeling refreshed, invigorated, and relaxed at the same time.

Peace Kids Yoga with Katy O'Brien
An exciting and FUN way for children to use their imaginations while releasing some energy. Little yogis will go on a jungle adventure using car, boat and airplane poses to get there, and pretending to be the animals and plants that they “see” along their journey (lions, elephants, monkeys, lizard, trees and flowers). Songs, games, art and stories are all part of the experience. Not only is this class great for building strength and maintaining flexibility in your child’s growing muscles, it will also help to improve your child’s balance, focus and coordination. Children will also be taught how to calm and relax their bodies using simple meditation techniques and breath awareness.

Learn to Fly by being Grounded! It’s time to take the challenge and feel the freedom of inverting your body into postures like headstand, forearm balance, and handstand (with a few arm balances thrown in to get the juices flowing). We will learn the basics, lots of variations and build our practice from the ground up! There are so many benefits to practicing inversions on a daily basis and it is also equally important to have the proper guidance into this realm of posturing. There will be challenges in store for all levels so come one and all!

*In case you are thinking twice about signing up: We will also make sure that you know how to roll, walk and step out of inversions safely, will also work with partners and use the wall.
